Dr. Shopna Jeevan first came along simply to watch her children train — then decided to join in herself. This photo shows her at her very first grading, which she passed with confidence. She continues to enjoy her training and is progressing strongly week by week. Her story is a great example of how adults with no previous experience can start, feel comfortable, and quickly build confidence.
Thinking of starting? Our adult beginners are always welcome — your first class is free.
No pressure, no experience needed — just come along and try a class.

Our instructors trained and graded directly under the late Keinosuke Enoeda — “The Tiger” — one of the most respected Shotokan masters outside Japan and a senior figure in the Japan Karate Association. Sensei Enoeda (9th Dan) was born on 4 July 1935 and passed away on 29 March 2003.
His standards, discipline and spirit continue to shape training at our dojo today.
